摘要:
《红楼梦》中大量中国传统特色文化词汇的翻译在杨氏与戴氏英译本中各有千秋。从认知语义学的角度，探讨两个译本中文化词汇翻译之得失，认为在不同的认知情景下,译者的认知模式决定其文化词汇翻译的倾向。
Abstract:
There are many traditional Chinese cultural words in Dream of Red Mansions are translated differently from the English versions by Yang Xianyi and David Hawks. This paper compares the gains and losses of the translation of cultural words in the two versions in the light of cognitive semantics. It is considered that the translator’s cognitive mode decides the translation tendency in dealing with cultural words in varied cognitive situations.
